What's Inside: Winsor and Newton Professional Acrylic Colour Tin
Heeding the suggestions of my first couple of watercolor teachers, I decided to get me a set of acrylic paints and see if I find the experience a bit closer to my good old fabric paints.
Available from the Winsor and Newton online store, this is the Winsor and Newton Professional Acrylic Colour Tin.
The simple, silver-colored tin measures 6.5" x 4 1/4" x 7/8" (or 16.5 cm x 11 cm x 2 cm). The tin case feels light but sturdy, and is embossed with the Winsor and Newton griffin logo.

As the set seems packaged as a gift or trial set, I don't imagine it will yield many paintings, perhaps a few small pieces, or one big painting if used with mediums. I used very little with my first painting, thinning the paints by a lot, using the Flow Improver from this set: PROFESSIONAL ACRYLIC MEDIUMS SET.
Overall, I'm happy with this set, and with my first experience using acrylics. I enjoyed painting with it, and found that the primaries in this set are very much sufficient to create the colors that I needed for the piece below. The opacity brings back the feel of painting with Tulco, very much to my delight! I will definitely be using these acrylics more - I can't wait to share :)
