Hello from the Philippines! I'm a botanical artist based in Manila.
I started painting at a young age, but it wasn’t until 2016 that I discovered my passion for botanical art. In August 2024, I successfully completed the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh Advanced Certificate in Botanical Illustration Course, graduating with a Distinction. Shortly afterward, I was honored to be invited to join The Society of Botanical Artists as a Fellow member. I am the first and, currently, the only artist from the Philippines to hold this internationally recognized qualification in botanical art. The title of SBA Fellow is widely acknowledged by commissioners of botanical art as a mark of excellence.
My artworks are part of private collections in the Philippines and abroad and have been exhibited in the following group exhibitions:

That's me in 2021, holding a flowering Alocasia sanderiana, a species that belongs to both my most favorite and least favorite plants! It's one of my most favorite to look at, but one of my least favorite to look after.
The more I learn about plants, the more I realize how very little I know about them.
