Bring memories of Philipine summers to your family and friends with this painting of duhat fruits on a branch. These lovely plums hang like jewels on its tree and are in season around May. In the Philippines, the ripe fruits are usually eaten raw, dipped in a bit of salt; other cultures make jam, smoothies and cakes with duhat fruits. This particular branch is from a big, old tree in a village in Alabang, where we lived for many years. The tree would bear such an abundance of fruits on branches so high that many of the purple-black ripe drupes end up on the street, leaving the pavement purple-stained for weeks.
The original watercolor artwork was done on 9"x12" cotton paper and finished in 2019. You will be getting an archival reproduction, professionally recreated using 100% cotton paper and pigment inks, it will last as long* as the original work.
(*with proper care and storage practices)
The complimentary picture frame allows convenient presentation for giving the prints as a gift. It has a plastic front protection that makes the frame safer for shipping and for display in high-traffic areas or children's rooms. You can easily swap out for your preferred frame but it's also presentable enough to keep.
